Biscuit Comes Home (example memory)

June 20, 2026

We drove ninety minutes to pick up a puppy and came home with a whole personality. Biscuit spent the first ten minutes in the car with his chin on Mia’s knee, the next ten sniffing every inch of the living room, and the rest of the evening asleep in a laundry basket that has since been declared his.

Leo lasted about four minutes before asking if Biscuit could sleep in his bed. Kevin said absolutely not, then found them both there at midnight. We’ve learned that puppies chew shoes, that Mia’s promise to “do all the walks” has a shelf life of about a week, and that there is no better sound than four paws skidding across a kitchen floor at six in the morning.

He’s already the boss. We’re just the staff.

One laundry basket, one very long first night, and a best friend for life.
